This privacy policy explains how Kev Tanna ("I", "me") collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you visit kevaltanna.com. I take your privacy seriously and only collect what I need.

What data I collect

Analytics data

With your consent, I use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this site. Google Analytics collects:

  • Pages visited and time spent on each page
  • How you arrived at the site (direct, search, social media)
  • Your device type, browser, and approximate location (country/city level)

This data is anonymised. I cannot identify you personally from analytics data. I use it only to understand which content is useful and how to improve the site.

Analytics only runs if you accept cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie preferences link in the footer.

Email enquiries

When you email me at kev@kevaltanna.com or use a mailto link on this site, I receive your email address and the contents of your message. I use this only to respond to your enquiry. I do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.

Legal basis for processing

  • Analytics: Consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). You can withdraw at any time.
  • Email enquiries: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — to respond to your message.

How long I keep your data

  • Analytics data: 14 months (Google Analytics default retention period).
  • Email correspondence: Up to 2 years, then deleted unless there is an ongoing business relationship.

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is operated by Google LLC, based in the United States. Data is transferred to the US under Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the UK ICO. You can read Google's privacy policy for more information.

Email

Email is handled via Google Workspace. Emails are stored on Google's servers in accordance with Google's terms.

This site uses cookies only for analytics, and only with your consent. No cookies are set before you accept.

  • _ga — Distinguishes users. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_[ID] — Maintains session state. Expires after 2 years.

Managing cookies

You can accept or decline analytics cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. You can change your preference at any time using the cookie preferences link in the footer. You can also delete cookies directly in your browser settings.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
